3 Essential Habits of Highly Successful Entrepreneurs

By Emory Pompa

Quite a lot of research has gone into figuring out what things the successful business owners all have got in common. It turns out they have much in common even though they may have arrived from different directions. You shouldn't find this surprising, since a lot of different areas of your life can be positively affected by these habits.

Was there ever a time when you wished you could hear the answer of a person who owned a site or product to a particular question you wished to ask? People really want an answer and this is something that happens quite often online. Even though it makes things much more complicated for the visitor, a support desk program can be implemented. What can be annoying is to get a cookie cutter response stating that a team member will contact you soon. If you think you're too good to handle support tickets or don't have the time, at least don't reveal to people that someone else is handling it. All you have to say is that you'll get to them as soon as you can.

If you're truly having a difficult time with a particular business issue, try some new approaches for solving things. Almost everybody finds themselves limited to just a few possible solutions. You know that there is more than one perspective with which to view things but each person is limited to just their own. That's when you know it's time to use your leverage to get others within your business to start brainstorming. Your ego might keep you from doing this, which truly is going to work against you. Call a meeting of your top minds, share the issue, and ask them to tell you whatever comes into their heads. You'll find that, often, the solution is right there.

Your target market, which probably consists of normal web users, really aren't interested all that much in marketing gurus. In fact, over the years there has been a backlash aimed toward those considered to be gurus. The quickest way to alienate your audience is to give them the impression that you're too good to talk to them. I have seen this repeatedly over the years, probably like we all have. The arrogant ones always say they don't have time. Well, that's fine - but so am I and everyone else. A little common sense won't hurt if you want to win your customers and prospects over. Only when you forget the silly attitude and start behaving like a normal human being do you stand a chance of getting what you actually want.

What is the most important thing to understand is that you have to be willing to do the work if you want to build good habits for yourself. This is not an instance in which you can just try; you actually have to take action and get it done. These things take dedication, patience and time, which are all possible if you decide that you want them to be. Shift your point of view to one that is a bit broader so that you can see that you truly haven't got anything to worry about. Just learn the things you need to learn and practice your skills every day.
